Postback Tracking (Campaigns)
Real-time conversion tracking and traffic source optimization
Postback Tracking (Campaigns)
Campaigns are where traffic, tracking, and revenue attribution converge.
You should only use Campaigns when:
- You want real-time conversion tracking
- You want to optimize traffic sources using actual events
- You want CasinoFlux to merge conversions with delayed casino revenue
If you do not need postbacks, Campaigns are optional.
What Is a Campaign
A Campaign is a tracking container that connects:
- One or more Sites
- One or more Offers
- A single Traffic Source
- Postback event logic
Campaigns do not create ads or manage spend.
They provide attribution and feedback loops.
When You Should Create a Campaign
Create a Campaign when you want to:
- Track registrations or deposits in real time
- Upload conversions back to a traffic source
- Compare ad spend vs performance accurately
- Scale traffic based on conversion quality
If you only want to launch without real-time tracking, campaigns are not required.
Campaign Structure
Each Campaign defines:
- Traffic source (e.g. Google Ads)
- The Site to promote
- Postback event configuration (set up on the Traffic Source)
A Campaign links a traffic source to a site so CasinoFlux can attribute clicks, receive conversion events, and upload them back to the source.
Creating a Campaign
To create a Campaign:
- Go to Postback → Campaigns → Create Campaign
- Select the Traffic Source
- Select the Site to promote
- Save
Offers are linked automatically based on the site selected — no manual offer selection required. Postback event configuration is handled on the Traffic Source, not the Campaign.
A campaign is only ready to receive traffic once a traffic source is connected to it. Without a traffic source, the campaign cannot function.
Postback Tracking Explained
Postbacks allow CasinoFlux to receive conversion events from casino platforms.
Typical supported events:
- Registration
- First deposit
Characteristics:
- Event availability depends on the affiliate platform
- Events may be real-time or delayed
- Rev-share earnings are delayed — fetched via API, not real-time tracking
CasinoFlux normalizes these events across platforms.
Traffic Source Integration
When a Campaign is connected to a Traffic Source:
CasinoFlux can:
- Attribute clicks correctly
- Receive conversion events
- Upload qualified conversions back to the source
This enables:
- Smart bidding
- Automated optimization
- Better campaign learning
CasinoFlux does not modify your ads or bids.
Multiple Traffic Sources, One Site
CasinoFlux supports connecting multiple traffic sources to a single site via separate campaigns.
This means different sources — Google Ads, Meta, native networks — can all send traffic to the same landing page without duplicating sites or offer setups.
Use this to:
- Keep your site setup clean and centralised
- Avoid creating duplicate sites for the same market and brand mix
- Attribute each source independently while sharing the same player-facing experience
Validating a Campaign
After launch, verify:
- Clicks are registering
- Conversion events appear
- Events are mapped correctly
- Traffic source receives conversions
Expect:
- Conversion events today
- Rev-share metrics tomorrow
Delayed rev-share metrics are expected — they are fetched via API, not tracked in real time.
Common Mistakes
Avoid the following:
- Expecting real-time rev-share metrics
- Using one Campaign for multiple strategies
- Launching traffic before validation
- Optimizing before enough data exists
Most optimization errors start here.
Best Practices
-
One Campaign per traffic strategy
Separate by source, geo, or intent. -
Validate before scaling
Never assume postbacks are working. -
Let data mature Do not judge profitability on day one.
How Campaigns Fit Into the Bigger Picture
Campaigns provide:
- Signal for optimization
- Structure for reporting
- Context for revenue attribution
They are not mandatory, but they unlock CasinoFlux’s full power.
Summary
Use Campaigns when:
- You want real optimization
- You trust data over assumptions
- You are ready to scale
Skip them when:
- You are testing quickly
Campaigns reward discipline. Misuse creates noise.
